MAS CNJ Halaqa Program for Teens: Empowering the Next Generation of American Muslims

The MAS Youth Center of NJ offers a weekly halaqa program for Muslim youth aged 16 and above. Directed by Brother Tarek Sharaf, the program provides a safe and welcoming space for teens to deepen their understanding of Islam, connect with peers, and strengthen their faith. As parents, you want your children to have access to a program that not only enriches their understanding of Islam, but also allows them to socialize and make new friends. The MAS Youth Center of NJ’s halaqa program is the perfect opportunity for your child to do just that.

The halaqa meets every Friday at 7:30 pm and is led by experienced teachers and speakers who are knowledgeable about the needs and interests of teenagers. The program covers a range of topics related to Islam, including spirituality, ethics, and social justice. Sometimes a guest speaker comes to address the youth, providing valuable insights and perspectives on the topics being discussed. In addition to the regular program, the halaqa sometimes includes fun activities such as group discussions, games, and quizzes, which come with prizes to add an element of excitement and competitiveness.

That’s why they provide pizza and light refreshments at every gathering, to create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere that encourages participation, active learning, and social interaction.
